Bollards
Marine bollards, also known as mooring bollards, are highly stable and provide secured tie-up points for mooring lines. They are simple and cost-effective measures in achieving mooring requirements such as anchoring vessels safely alongside jetties/quay, berths, wharves and dolphins in ports and harbours. All bollards are shot blasted and painted with a corrosion protection coating. Bollard categorised into two type which is full solid bollard and bollard has a hole at the top for filling of concrete/grouting. The added strength of this infill is not taken into consideration in designing.
The unique feature of bollards are:
- Maximum protection of ropes due to R-profile dimensions
- Having been designed with a safety factor of three times.
